Richard Addlestone has been an attorney in the Cayman Islands since 2001. Before joining Solomon Harris as a partner in 2013, Richard was a partner at Walkers until 2010 and then a partner at Appleby. He has undertaken a wide range of offshore corporate/commercial work but has focused in particular on hedge funds and private equity, banking and finance, captive insurance and general corporate work.
He is an honours graduate in law from Manchester University, England and qualified as a solicitor in England in 1993.
Richard started learning the violin at 7 years old. He was classically trained for 10 years and then moved into other genres such as jazz, folk, klezmer and country & western. He is a past member of the Cayman National Orchestra. He occasionally plays with the local band, Gone Country, and with other musicians on an ad hoc basis for charity and other community events. He also sponsors a local student for violin lessons.
Richard is married to Roisin Addlestone and is step father to Roisin’s children Sophie and Katie.
